IAHSA will be forming a nominating committee in the next few weeks to nominate members to serve on the IAHSA Board of Directors. We also will nominate a candidate for the AAHSA House of Delegates to represent Iowa. We are looking for energetic people who would like to contribute to the creation of a new aging services system. Under health reform many new programs and opportunities will be emerging. IAHSA is in a position to lead in the new systems development.

The job requirements are:
• Willingness to serve: four board meetings a year. Reading the board materials in advance, desire to learn and being prepared to discuss issues.
• Service on a committee or to chair a committee.
• Support IAHSA by attending the three signature events; Spring Conference and Exhibitor Showcase, Fall Conference and Annual Membership Meeting
• Responding to policy advocacy alerts and attending legislative meetings in your district.
• Supporting IAHSA through it’s purchasing program, networks, and hosting meetings.
